Overall, I really like Santa's Visit (40125) as the final LEGO Seasonal set for 2015. The scene has a warm and inviting feel to it with the brown color scheme of the floor, wall, and fireplace mantel. The fireplace itself is a good design although it does get a little boring building the same steps a few times.
This set is so neat because it looks like it could be put directly into a Lego house and used as part of a living room! I love that santa can sit in the recliner and munch on some cookies and milk/hot chocolate, play with the curious cat, lay out some presents under the tree, and fill those stockings above the chimney with care! Such a fun and detailed little set. I think it was worth every penny!
In constructing a beloved childhood dream, I think this is a good set for catching Santa in this moment of solitude. There is a nice level of detail in the room, and I can't think of anything missing from the scene, except perhaps for a couple of presents under the tree. That can be easily remedied by extras in just about anyone's collection (for me, it's borrowing from previous Advent calendars). The tabby cat is a nice addition. While there are no particularly rare parts that I noticed, I think it's worth picking up this set. It makes for a great stocking stuffer for kids (and grown-ups).
