Overall, the Seasonal Christmas Train (40138) is a very nice set to add to your collection as well as to your winter scene. As I mentioned before, it is about double the size of other Seasonal sets that have been released as promos since they started in 2011.

There aren't many Christmas trains around, so getting this one is a must if you're a train nut. We've had 40034: Christmas Train polybag from 2012, this year's incredible 10254: Winter Holiday Train, and this one, so there's three in total.

This was a great little family Christmas project for my 4 yr old master builder to be & his Dada and I. I wished the pieces came bagged as individual cars rather than the whole train mixed together. I'll be bagging it that way for next year. We look forward to this little train joining our other annual Christmas traditions.
