We have most of the Trolls sets because my kids (unlike the person who gave the set a 1 star review) love trolls and were super happy to see these sets come out. They do seem to have less pieces them most similarly priced sets but that makes them great for younger kids. My 4 year old, with the help of her sister (7), was able to build most of the Trolls sets with minor frustration. If you have a little one who likes Trolls and is ready to start building on their own, I think any of the trolls sets are a good fit. Also, Biggie and Mister Dinkle are so cute!

So I can see this set becoming a legend in some circles for its unusual pieces but as a set itself, it is pretty simple. This is one you buy more as a Trolls fan to be a playset if it is for kids. If you are an adult builder, this set has some unusual pieces with scope for imagination for some different builds. I can see some of these pieces becoming rare and popular with Lego hobbyists in years to come. I liked the bright colors and it is fun to get so many characters which make it again more of a playset for the kids if they are fans. This set as is not a challenging build and actually finishes pretty quickly.
One of the things we really like about these sets is the Trolls hair play. Kids will have fun mixing and matching the hairstyles among the different minifigures and popping accessories in and out to create different looks. We also like the addition of felt pieces in each set, giving a nice tactile appeal to the building and helping bring some of the texture from the movie to life. And, of course, each set includes lots of the details and accessories that LEGO does so well to inspire a lot of imaginative play.
Of the eight Trolls World Tour sets currently on the market, this one is arguably the most interesting in terms of parts and complexity. Most of the larger sets appear to be heavier on beefy pre-fabricated elements and, while that's fine, I feel like that's something many adult fans tend to avoid. Fortunately, Poppy's Hot Air Balloon Adventure provides a build that should prove enjoyable for children and adults alike. And, even if you don't want to build the balloon, you can hopefully find something useful inside.
