The LEGO “Friends" sets are (in my opinion) not as fun as traditional sets. They feel a little forced (like a lego Barbie version) and seem to be more expensive for less imagination.A good set for a kid who likes them. A good gift for kids who want to build things but don't enjoy the free imagination of traditional legos.

The Rambling Brick

The front of the truck is a reasonable recreation of a single cabin lorry, reminiscent in styling vehicles from the 60's or 70s, but the tip tray is a more contemporary development. The effect works, but feels a little incongruent. The go kart is great, embracing elements that makes it truly Olivia's. I like the inclusion of Rumble the hamster. I wonder if he knows the plans being developed on the sticker sheet for the Mission Vehicle? While I appreciate Olivia in her racing gear, it would've been nice for her to have a spare hair piece, independent of her helmet.

This is a very good set, with may play features. It is sure to entertain racing enthusiasts for many hours. Their are some other friends "Go-Kart" themed sets being released at the same time as this one. Each of those includes additional go karts and launchers, making it possible for you to set up races with many of your real friends at the same time!
