An awesome set, definitely better than its predecessor in my eyes with much more accuracy and playability with the minifigures involved.
This was a great gift for my kids. Unfortunately they both said it was kind of a boring build, and they didn't really play with it all that much either.Unless you need this for some set completion, I recommend buying something else. The price has gotten out of hand. I wouldn't recommend paying more than thirty bucks for this, and even that's more than we paid.A good rule of thumb for Lego sets without a lot of minifigures and specially cast large pieces is ten to fifteen cents per piece.
The Knight Bus is a pretty neat little set. It didn't take long at all to put together and kids won't probably have any trouble assembling it. I would recommend picking it up if you are a Harry Potter fan.
My one quip with the finished model is that the front of the cab is too boxy and doesn't look enough like a 30's style pickup or roadster, and that's the one place where the 2004 model beats this one out. Definitely worth picking up to fill out/complete your Harry Potter collection or as MOC fodder.
This set does what it means to, with details on the swinging chandelier and the unattached bed a nice detail to the bus. Otherwise, it's also quite versatile, as you can use it as a regular bus or a double-decker bus if you wish.
