This is one of the good to have Pirates' set to add into your collection. This set offers a good source of brown and tan parts that allow you to construct a raft or sort it out in your parts bin. Another good reason for collectors to purchase this set, could be the one of a kind dark maroon kraken which is exclusive in this set.
It is a good set and all pirate fans should get it. In the history of Lego rafts I would rate it second, after renagades raft.
A reasonable starting point for the Pirates line, but nothing really show-stopping. A competent set rather than a very good one, it's not a let down but with a few more pieces and a bigger Kraken it could have been so much more.
Kraken Attackin' is a great starter set for the new Pirate theme. It's the first set that I opened, and I'm very satisfied with the contents and design of the set. I love the new pirates with their nicely detailed torsos and it's great to see the return of the tricorner hat.
