This is a weird set to pin down. On its surface, there are some problems, like the boxy shape or the fact that it tends to pop up to the raised state far too easily. But it's hard to convey in pictures just how fun the set feels even in spite of that.
I just got this set recently and was so excited to build it. I am in love with this set its is huge 8 studs wide and a very long car. It stands out in my city! This set is a very good overall product with gold trim, purple body, green roof, and zebra interior. Good job to the creators and designers. Thr price may seem super expensive at first but once you build it and think how big and cool it is you really do realize it's a reasonable price. The minifigs are Harley Quinn, The Joker, and batgirl. I would recommend this product strongly.
The car itself is nothing great. I thought it would be a nice add to my Batman collection, but really it's just OK to look at. The spring loaded shooters in the trunk is a nice touch, but really has no other interesting features....Now, it does have one other feature, the suspension. But it doesn't really work that well. You can't make the car ride high on it's back wheels because of the poor weight distribution, and vaguely can it ride high on it's front wheels. If you don't know the feature is there, you'd miss it.Overall, I'm putting the set away and not on display...but keeping the figures out.
There's lots of little details throughout that I liked such as the zebra tiles for the seats, the chicken hood ornament, and the suspension play feature. The overall look of the lowrider itself is really good. Add on the fact that we also have some exclusive minifigures in the set like the Joker and Harley Quinn which make fine additions as well.

In general, Joker's Notorious Lowrider is a nice set, and a solid buy. You get a good price per brick, as well as excellent Minifigures. The set is nicely designed, and a lot of fun. Its main drawback is that you don't get much build time for the price tag. For many youngsters, that will probably get balanced by play time, and even for me, photography will be fun. But, strictly from the amount of build time, it is expensive.
This set has some really cool features that fans of the new LEGO Batman Movie will appreciate. Kids who have seen the movie will like playing out favorite scenes or recreating all-new comedic good versus evil battles between Batgirl, The Joker, and Harley Quinn. Kids will like that all of the minifigures look just how they do in the movie, which is not a stretch--they're LEGO minifigures in the movie, too. But it just enhances the play and brings the characters from the movie to life for lots of imaginative play.
All in all, I think this is definitely a fabulous set, but it does have one huge flaw. The price. In the U.S., $49.99 is fine, but £54.99 in the UK and $109.99 in New Zealand means that it is the same price as the Batmobile, which is much larger and has 2 more minifigures. This is truly disappointing.
That said, I still expect this set to sell very well, purely off the strength of the Lowrider model, and the prominence of the 3 minifigures included. I still wouldn't advocate buying this set at full price, but if you can get it at about 20% off, it becomes slightly easier to stomach. Slightly. If money is no issue to you, the entire tone of this conversation changes as The Joker Notorious Lowrider is a lot of fun, looks awesome on display and features The Joker at his pimpin' best.
While this set might not be a great value, I do recommend it. There are just too many cool things in this set to pass up on, and I'm sure anything related to the LEGO Batman Movie is going to be a huge success.
As it's sat here next to me over the past couple of days, Joker's lowrider has slowly grown on me. Yes, it's overly large and very square, built from fairly basic building techniques. At $49.99 for 433 pieces, I'd be hard-pressed to recommend this set at full price, or as your only LEGO Batman purchase. But with three fun — and probably collectible — minifigs and a big bunch of purple and pearl-gold pieces, it's not half bad. That's no ringing endorsement, but the set is certainly worth consideration for the minifigs and the purple.
70906 The Joker Notorious Lowrider is a brilliant set and it has completely satisfied my high expectations. It looks marvellous on display but also incorporates some splendid play features, by far the most notable of which is the working suspension.
