My son is a Lego freak. And a Batman freak. Needless to say he loved this. it comes with alot of stuff for the price. And it took my 7 year old about 4 hours to complete it.
The LEGO Batman Movie Bane Toxic Truck Attack (70914) is a fairly decent set with the main draw being Bane and Mutant Leader. The truck itself does have some decent play features but seems a bit small. I would've preferred that more parts when to that instead of some of the other builds. Speaking of the other builds, they are nice additions. The Whirly-Bat is a nice little nod to the comics. The toxic waste tank also has a play feature with the exploding function and it does go nice next to Bane's truck.
This set is a great build the mini figs are awsome the main build is good and one of the side builds is cool as well. However the little batcopter thing is pathetic and brings the set down also feels as if it was only added to boost the already insane price thankfully got mine reduced. All in all good set fun build great figure terrible price
As the main model, Bane's truck has lots of cool details. We especially like the suspension on the back wheels, which will really come in handy if kids are driving it over the rough terrain of their bedrooms. The exploding feature of the toxic waste silo adds excitement and action to the play as kids create all sorts of superhero stories.
In general, I like this set, but it is not a keeper for me. I bought it mostly for the Bane figurine and to take advantage of the LEGO Batman Movie Battle Pod offer at Toys R Us. It does not have a great per-brick value, and the build time cost is pretty high.
I enjoyed the build, and am only just beginning to explore the photographic opportunities that Bane provides. The vehicle is interesting, but not at a scale that will work well in a regular LEGO City. The price for this set is quite disappointing, but the contents are superb.
think that this set is a pretty good set, thanks in no small part to the fabulous Bane bigfig. However, due to the bigfig, the price is rather high — the build looks rather small for a $49.99 USD set. Personally, I'd wait for a sale, maybe a 20% off sale. At that discount (or more) I'd recommend it.
This is a magnificent set on the whole, offering enormous play value as well as a pleasing selection of figures. The Bane bigfig is undoubtedly the outstanding component but his truck is also very enjoyable and it looks splendid on display beside the vehicles belonging to the other villains from The LEGO Batman Movie. I like the smaller models too as the Ace Chemicals tank functions well and the Whirly-Bat looks brilliantly inelegant, presenting a comical contrast with the brutal appearance of Bane's truck.
