This set is perfect for display as well as play with all its built-in features.This is a pretty epic LEGO set and having those four vehicles plus all these minifigures really gives you a lot of play value and bang for your buck—it's like getting four builds in one! fans of the LEGO Batman movie, and batman, will also appreciate the bonus figures such as lesser known Batman villains such as Polka-Dot Man and LEGO mash-ups with the Wizard of Oz villians the Wicked Witch and flying monkeys.
Like I said before on my preview post on Instagram, The LEGO Batman Movie The Ultimate Batmobile (70917) is by far the most fun set I've built for the theme so far. Each of the individual builds, besides the Batcycle, could be a standalone set themselves if LEGO wanted to but I'm happy they included all of them in one large play set. I'm a sucker for combiner things and I did get a good feeling after combining everything together. The Bat-Signal with the light brick was a nice surprice since LEGO didn't even have to include it with this set and I would have still been good with it. The minifigure selection is decent with some of the new characters like Alfred, Polka-Dot Man, and the two Flying Monkeys but some the repeats from the previous wave were somewhat disappointing.
I have a younger sister that i took to see the LEGO Batman Movie. I myself am a giant comic book nerd and thought that the movie did justice to the character while still highlighting the LEGO master builder side. Once I sore this set I had to have it and put every penny into it. the actual build was an joyful experience and the value for money was 10/10 (having 4 vehicles and a light brick). One of my favorite parts is the exclusive Alfred. My sister and I love attaching a LEGO rope to him and swinging him around and making him save the day while saying funny jokes like: "The butler did it". Overall this set is one of the best the LEGO DC super heroes team has ever created. It's a must buy. 10/10
The four-in-one design is tricky to get right, but the Ultimate Batmobile achieves a cohesive design without too many compromises in the individual models. The small Batmobile in particular is an excellent design, and even the Batcycle serves its purpose suitably. Fully assembled, the Ultimate Batmobile is sturdy and robust.
70917 The Ultimate Batmobile represents the fundamental nature of The LEGO Batman Movie. Every aspect of a traditional Batmobile has been taken to the extreme as each vehicle is laden with headlights, engines and non-lethal weaponry. Furthermore, the structure of this model seems to acknowledge different types of Batmobile from the past, incorporating a sleek vehicle not unlike that seen in the 1989 film or Batman: The Animated Series as well as a beefy tank which recalls the design of the Tumbler or the enormous machine seen in Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns!
