What can I say other than I have been having absolutely horrid days at work and this cheered me right up! The monsters are so clearly awesome - like having my own minions with me to imagine them going after those that ruin my day lol. They are like potato chips in that if you have ANY of them you just have to have more! Love love love! Thank you guys!
While I may not be a fan of most of the Lego mini-figure series I think this one is the best out all of them. So many great mini-figures to pick out there aren't any terrible ones in this series. So you won't bummed out when you open the polybag. Lego really did some good by picking out and creating each mini-figure for this series. My personal favorites are Plant Monster, Gargoyle, Banshee, Spectre, and Tiger Lady.
First off, the child recipient LOVED this werewolf lego dude. Carried him around and played with him all day. I'm sure he's still going strong. My only small complaint is that it's a little pricey at $9 for one tiny lego man.
The parts assortment for the Wolf Guy is slightly above average. The Wolf Guy holds a white bone which may be his weapon to clobber others or just leftovers from his meal. The focus for this minifigure is the new wolf mould and the new furry tail like Rocket Raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy at the back. This is a pleasant surprise to me.
I have to say, minifigures with unique heads are always a plus in my books. Even though it may feel like a rehash from Monster Fighters, the slightly updated Wolf Head mould more than makes up for it not being a completely new concept. It also helps that the Wolf Guy looks fantastic, making him one of the more eye-catching minifigures from Series 14.
This is definitely a fun wave of figs. We have a lot of repeat monsters, but most of them have had some sort of update to keep them fresh. Plus, we've gotten a lot more unique characters that will be fun to add to a collection.
