Queen

Finally, we end with the Queen - a great medieval minifigure! I love her extra wide dress piece (so much better than the usual slope dress piece). I also like her cape and crown - she's pretty much perfect for a Queen! more less

I've said this before, but LEGO has continued to step up their game with the Collectible Minifigures theme and Series 15 (71011) does not disappoint. There are some minifigures that are more sought after than others but I see every single one of them having a place somewhere in the LEGO universe and in many MOCed themes. more less

This was a thank you present for a colleague and just like I received this, taken care of, I gave this to my colleague well taken care of. They loved that there was a queen lego available and now they have it displayed for people to see. more less

The parts assortment is outstanding, especially with the royal fabric cloth which was used in the King in Series 13. It is meant to complement and match one another. The one-piece newly design minifigure wide skirt is just amazing. I can simply imagine how nice it could fit in future designs. more less

So my overall thoughts are its a damn good series I think we only got 4 weak minifigures, the rest were high quality. My top 4 were the farmer, Animal Control Officer, shark suit guy and the wrestler. Each time you wonder what LEGO can come up with next and yet they continue to really impress me. I love new elements that can be used in my own creations and series 15 is packed with them. more less

This Minifigure goes well with the King from Series 13. She sports a new hairdo and a fair amount of detailing on her dress. The lower half of the body was also a novel attire piece for my collection. All of the other dresses I have gotten with Minifigs have been the standard slanted roof piece variety. I am not really a big fan of dresses for Minifigs, but they are occasionally warranted. In this case, it works nicely, and looks more extravagant than the normal dress. more less

The Queen is a triumph of minifigure design purely because of the introduction of the custom dress piece. It signals a willingness by LEGO to design outside of the box, triggering a shift away from the 2 x 2 slope tile as the only option for dresses or robes. more less

It is worth mentioning that there are five female figures here to the eleven males, which is a fairly standard ratio now even though there are plenty of opportunities to make it an even split. The handicap guy is something fans have responded to well, pairing well with the upcoming wheelchair figure. The Shark Guy is pretty fun. We get a couple of animals. Everyone has their favorites, though most of the popular figs come with large odds in favor of fans. Basically, there is a little of something here for everyone, which is the best thing to be said about any Collectible Minifigure Series. more less

Another elaborate figure. The cape and mantle combination are a bit tricky to get on, but make for a very majestic profile, especially when combined with the new wide skirt part. her ornate hair and crown top off the very regal look. more less
