Faun

I've long coveted this little guy, but originally missed out on series 15!! Kudos to Funtastic Things for helping me find him, and I even got him a brother!! "Are you at all familiar with Narnian lullabies? Good. Because this probably isn't going to sound like one." :-D more less

I've said this before, but LEGO has continued to step up their game with the Collectible Minifigures theme and Series 15 (71011) does not disappoint. There are some minifigures that are more sought after than others but I see every single one of them having a place somewhere in the LEGO universe and in many MOCed themes. more less

The parts assortment is average. It only include a flute for his accessory. However, the main focus could be the Satyr's legs. This is one of the few design attempts to create another different variations from the usual standard minfigure legs. There were lots of hype in this new part and some people are wildly speculating that it could also be part of a certain LEGO Disney character in the future. Time will tell on how true this will be. more less

So my overall thoughts are its a damn good series I think we only got 4 weak minifigures, the rest were high quality. My top 4 were the farmer, Animal Control Officer, shark suit guy and the wrestler. Each time you wonder what LEGO can come up with next and yet they continue to really impress me. I love new elements that can be used in my own creations and series 15 is packed with them. more less

The Faun is an excellent minifigure that will probably be overlooked in the frenzy of all the other more “appealing" characters but he remains one of the standouts from Series 15. more less

This is a neat little castle/fantasy related Minifigure. He reminds me of Mr. Tumnus from the Chronicles of Narnia. The Faun has unique legs that I have not seen before, with hooves and fur printed on the front. Even though there is no rear printing, I will give this Minifig full marks for leg design because of the unique sculpt on both sides. more less

Every set has to have a least favorite minifigure - and for me that figure was almost Faun. The figure is half man, half goat according to Greek mythology...and in fact, it's the Greek mythology tie that actually saves this figure from being my least favorite! His only accessory is a simple brown pole with some black dots painted on it (his flute). In my opinion, this is one of the lamest parts selection - and couple that with Faun's goat legs and you've got a minifigure that is very much one dimensional. more less

It is worth mentioning that there are five female figures here to the eleven males, which is a fairly standard ratio now even though there are plenty of opportunities to make it an even split. The handicap guy is something fans have responded to well, pairing well with the upcoming wheelchair figure. The Shark Guy is pretty fun. We get a couple of animals. Everyone has their favorites, though most of the popular figs come with large odds in favor of fans. Basically, there is a little of something here for everyone, which is the best thing to be said about any Collectible Minifigure Series. more less

Everyone went a bit nuts for this one and rightfully so. This is the first time we've seen digitigrade minifigure legs, so why not go nuts? The addition of the goat horns and flute and you're ready for a midsummer night's dream. more less
