This one is just what I need for my Collection. If I like Abe Lincoln killing vampires I sure like him in his apocalyptic outfit!
This entire series is an outstanding release with minor rant such as the repeated inclusion of Unikitty design. Overall, I would said this is quite a remarkable release including fulfilling the distribution ratio with 3 complete sets in a sealed box. This alone, is a huge winner to ensure the distribution spread is done appropriately. Furthermore, I also noted with the minifigure neck marking increased the tightness and grip of the head and neck. This is actually great for CMFs which was previously lacking.
Overall The LEGO Movie 2 Collectible Minifigures (71023) series is a pretty interesting one with a number of characters that you wouldn't really expect to see in one of the sets. My favorite one is probably the Giraffe guy as well as the Wizard of Oz crew which are some popular ones among fans. There are also some questionable inclusions such as Emmet and Unikitty. Do we really need another of their variants even though they have been heavily featured in the sets and Unikitty in her series from last year?
It's been three-score and seven months since LEGO last released an Abraham Lincoln minifigure. Like many of his fellow citizens, Mr. Lincoln has hunkered down for the end of the world as we know it. His new persona positions him as an elite raider, and he looks ready to ride with Immortan Joe thanks to a totally metal skull-and-pistons belt buckle. Lincoln wields an axe, because of course he does, and his tophat is now decked out with a pair of goggles (though sadly they're molded in).
I found a few surprises looking through the set, especially with the UV: Bright Green seems to be particularly Bright. I wonder how other elements in this colour look?. Orange is inconsistent: some versions of Bright Orange Fluoresce, others do not. Likewise red: I have some fuselage elements joined together at home: some fluoresce, others don't! Some ‘Bright' colours don't seem to glow at all. Overall, it's a pretty diverse collection!
This superb minifigure certainly takes inspiration from Steampunk designs, including a pair of goggles around his famed stove pipe hat and a belt buckle which is shaped like an engine.
