I love this layout because my child's favorite animal is a giraffe and he loves like a so this is perfect. I can't wake you at it to his collection of 317
This entire series is an outstanding release with minor rant such as the repeated inclusion of Unikitty design. Overall, I would said this is quite a remarkable release including fulfilling the distribution ratio with 3 complete sets in a sealed box. This alone, is a huge winner to ensure the distribution spread is done appropriately. Furthermore, I also noted with the minifigure neck marking increased the tightness and grip of the head and neck. This is actually great for CMFs which was previously lacking.
Overall The LEGO Movie 2 Collectible Minifigures (71023) series is a pretty interesting one with a number of characters that you wouldn't really expect to see in one of the sets. My favorite one is probably the Giraffe guy as well as the Wizard of Oz crew which are some popular ones among fans. There are also some questionable inclusions such as Emmet and Unikitty. Do we really need another of their variants even though they have been heavily featured in the sets and Unikitty in her series from last year?
The costume characters have always been among the most popular figures out of any given CMF line, and it looks like they're finally getting some screen time in The LEGO Movie 2. First up is Giraffe Guy, who might win the award for tallest CMF character ever. With a base of light yellow overlaid with orange spots, the coloring looks, um, spot on.
I found a few surprises looking through the set, especially with the UV: Bright Green seems to be particularly Bright. I wonder how other elements in this colour look?. Orange is inconsistent: some versions of Bright Orange Fluoresce, others do not. Likewise red: I have some fuselage elements joined together at home: some fluoresce, others don't! Some ‘Bright' colours don't seem to glow at all. Overall, it's a pretty diverse collection!
Giraffe Guy is the latest in a popular series of minifigures wearing animal costumes and this example is among the most impressive such characters! I love the enormous headgear which greatly increases his height beyond standard minifigures and includes tremendous moulded detail, featuring ears, horns and a reddish brown mane down its back. The printed pattern looks great too and I like the bright light yellow base colour.
