Love the new stormtrooper helmets Plus collectible Han Solo Minifigure is awesome
I did know that lego star wars was started in 1999, but I kind of forgot that 2019 was coming up, so when I saw these sets I was quite surprised. i was happy that there was a stormtrooper battlepack, but i didn't think i would get it because of the new stormtroopers. then i stumbled across a video on youtube of the old version and the new version being compared. then i realized that the new version was actually pretty accurate. for anybody who is still not sure about the new stormtrooper, find a comparison video on youtube and you might change your mind like i did. but now for the set. the little ship is not actually star wars, but a lego creation. but that's fine, because most people will probably be getting this set for the minifigures. i am glad that this set has all unnamed characters because in recent years lego has gotten a bad habit of putting named characters into battle packs. another thing, lego has gotten a very foolish idea into their heads and that is the absence of proper blasters. so now when you get a battle pack, you have to supply your own weapons. terrible and sad. what is an army without guns? anyways, the set is nice and worth the money since it is bigger than the usual battlepacks and has five minifigures. keep up the cool sets lego, but PLEASE give us our blasters back. thumbs up if you want the lord of the rings sets to be released again.
On the whole, this set could have been FABULOUS. It could have been AMAZING. And, it almost is. The three regular stormtroopers and the one shadow stormtrooper included – while they do have the controversial new helmet design – are amazing inclusions, and the throwback Han minifigure is great to get too. The build is nothing amazing but it's still a nostalgic, special update and one can't expect too much from a battle pack build. HOWEVER, where the set fails is its price.
I feel this is an appropriate set to re-release, especially in the context of the stormtrooper helmet being re-released this year, with a new dual mould. It the shape of the helmet is going to change, you probably want to be able to pick up a few!
LEGO Star Wars 75262 Imperial Dropship – 20th Anniversary Edition is the least essential of the five sets in this commemorative range, revisiting a vehicle that was probably best forgotten. Those keen to own all five of the classic minifigures will be able to give though as the set is relatively inexpensive.
Even though the LEGO Star Wars Imperial Dropship – 20th Anniversary Edition (75262) isn't considered a “Battle Pack,” I would certainly define it as one. This is currently the cheapest way to load up on the slightly updated Stormtroopers as well as the Shadow Trooper and the Dropship itself. The exclusive Han Solo minifigure is an added bonus to this Battle Pack. If you are using this set to build up your army, I would suggest that you wait for a discount first.
Stormtroopers are among the most popular characters for army building and 75262 Imperial Dropship - 20th Anniversary Edition offers an excellent selection. The updated Stormtrooper helmets may require some acclimatisation but I think they look marvellous when compared with the source material and the elite Shadow Trooper is similarly impressive.
