So, this is a great set, nice build of a cadillac hearse. Guess what they forgot to put into the set? A stand for the minifigs! The OG Ecto-1 set has a VERY nice stand. Minifigs in this set will not stand up due to proton packs, and a display stand would have definitely helped with this issue. Now I have to order my bricks ala-carte to build a proper stand :(

This is a wonderful set for any Ghostbusters fan. I have not seen the movie, but I love the set design and Minifigures of 75828. The car is spacious and detailed. It fits four Minifigures, and it can be placed inside the Firehouse Headquarters. The price is ok, but the overall score did take a bit of a hit there.

The minifigure selection is great with all the little details each one has and plus all of the Ghostbusters fit into the car at the same time. The Ecto-1 itself is a very nice representation to the one in the movie and that sometimes is hard to achieve in LEGO form as we've seen before with other movie sets.

It's impressive what comes out from LEGO. Turn 556 pieces into something that doesn't look like a LEGO. Only thing we were missing one piece for the grill right in front. But my grandson doesn't care. He's a fan of the original movie and loves playing with this. Decent instructions but does take a while to put together and as would be expected for something made from so many parts does come apart but that's when grandpa gets to get involved...

Kids will have a blast building the Ecto 1 & 2 and recreating scenes from the film and collectors will enjoy putting this set on display.

This is a solid set with good figures (especially if you enjoyed the movie), and as a one-off set, worked out in much the same way as the original, even if it doesn't have nostalgia to make you want to buy it. It does a great job of representing the characters and the vehicle, even with a few little design quibbles. That being said, if you're only going to buy one Ecto-1, I'd still lean more towards the original (if for no reason other than it's likely to go out of print soon). If you already have the first one, the second one isn't a bad purchase by any means.

Like what you see? I certainly do. There are a couple minor flaws in this set, like the printing on the slopes not being aligned well enough and the back being a little strange, but all in all it's a lovely model that fun to roll around and put minifigures into. It comes with amazing minifigures with amazing new minifigure parts and prints. It packs a lot of exciting an/or rare and/or new parts, should you happen to want it for parts.

Despite the waviness of the lines and the slightly odd curved sides, the car is detailed, has funny whatchamacallits on the roof and it looks the business. From what I've seen of the movie and in the booklet, the figures are pretty good representations of the characters; certainly good enough to be recognizable. The set also seems to have a bit more play value than the older ECTO-1 thanks to opening features.

The original Ecto-1 is a genuinely iconic vehicle and 21108 Ghostbusters Ecto-1 is therefore very appealing. However, 75828 Ecto-1 & 2 is a superior set in my opinion, with an improved minifigure selection, many more play features and an equally accurate design in relation to the source material. My only criticism relates to the stickers included, some of which are difficult to apply properly due to their small size.
