Batman: Man-Bat Attack

My family has been on a Batman kick lately. I picked up the LEGO Batman games on Steam a few months ago on sale, and we have been playing them together. We watched the new Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy together. When my younger son turned 8 recently, I naturally gravitated toward this set. He actually already has it but at his mother's house, which is okay because he loves it that much. He loves helicopters and other vehicles, as well as any set with cool action figures. This set has both: a batcopter and several Batman lego guys. If you have a child (even your inner child) that loves Batman, this set will satiate that desire without breaking the bank. For $16, how can you go wrong? more less

This is a great set for kids to come up with Batman-inspired play scenarios. They can pretend that Man-Bat is trying to blow something up and Nightwing swoops into to stop him, but needs backup from Batman. more less

The new minifigures are pretty cool especially the return of Nightwing after an 8 year absence. Man-Bat is a nice addition although I wished LEGO would have used a new mold for him instead of a reprint of older minifigures. The Batcopter is very nicely designed and playable for younger audiences. For $20, you get a great set with some cool minifigures. Nothing wrong with that! more less

Overall, the Batcopter is nicely built and a worthy addition to the Batvehicle line up we've seen thus far. I do wish there was less gray and more black though but even that's not enough to detract from an otherwise excellent set. It was a fun build and for a $20 dollar set, you really can't go wrong. more less

The helicopter was quite fun to put together and I was pleasantly satisfied by the end result. For a $40 set, it doesn't feel like I was shortchanged and for Superhero purists, will be an accessible way to add Nightwing to anyone's DC Comics minifigure collection. more less
