It was an okay set but Batman's cape broke too easily and also his back holsters broke too easily. My son is very gentle with his legos so this was a surprise.
This set is great value for the money whether you are a kid or adult collector! The build is small, but it has some nice action features and display-ability. Plus, if you don't like it, the pieces are really cool for MOCs. The printed bat signal piece is a great piece to get in such a cheap set. The minifigures are the best part! Both versions of these heroes are exclusive to this set. The batman has awesome printing on the torso and legs, and his head glows in the dark! The armor piece is great too! I didn't get the cape for him, however, so I'm not sure if all versions of this set come with it. :( The superman is awesome as well, with the newer style cape and hair piece! Even if you didn't like the movie, this set is a great and cheap way to get the latest cinematic versions of Batman and Superman! I recommend this set!
If nothing else this is a great set to pick up some pretty awesome minifigures and I would highly recommend to all those collectors out there.
At $20, the value from this set is incredible, and when the movie comes out, should prove to be a popular set since it's within reach of nearly everyone. With superheroes being such a huge draw at the box office, and Batman and Superman being household names, I can definitely see this set doing exceptionally well. Even at full price, you'll get your money's worth with Clash of the Heroes.
If you watched Batman and Superman battle in the new movie Batman v Superman, then you'll want to play out some of those movie scenes with this LEGO set. The set is small, but it does have good action features for lots of play.
The build for set is rather bland. The play features are minimal but will entertain kids to a certain degree. If you want to buy this set just for the minifigure, I wouldn't blame you because that's the main reason why I bought it as well.
As a set by itself, Clash of the Heroes is a little weak. There is not much to it. As an add-on to other building projects, it has some nice details (like the Bat-signal and the grate-like base piece). This set is a great way to get Superman and Batman at relatively low cost. Batman is also reason enough to buy this set in my opinion. This set is the only one that has the armoured variant from the movie, and he does not disappoint. So, if you are a fan of Batman and Minifigures, then I recommend this set highly for just that Minifig alone.
Outside of the batman figure and the dish, there's very little to justify the money. Even for parts, there's not enough there to justify $6, let alone more than double that.
The set as a whole is not particularly interesting but the minifigures certainly are. Whether or not you should purchase this set depends on whether you are planning to buy 76046 Heroes of Justice: Sky High Battle. If you are then the only value of this set is in the armoured Batman and the printed Batsignal element, which are not worth the price of £11.99 or $12.99 in my view.
