This was a challenging Lego set. My son is getting better and better, and this one was great to add to his collection. It was challenging without being boring. The cost was great too! Especially since we saw this online for twice the amount Lego was selling it for.

I think this is quite good. I like the minifigures and the builds are fine. The SpiderMech and the Hoverboard are fun to play with, and the Venom mech looks good on display. Playability is alright – though I would have liked the Venom mech to be more poseable – and the price is good value for money.
76115 Spider Mech vs. Venom is certainly among my favourite Marvel Super Heroes sets that LEGO has produced. Ghost Spider could be improved and the Spider Mech seems relatively small but those shortcomings are overshadowed by the impressive Venom Mech. This model looks absolutely magnificent on display and offers considerable play value, due in particular to its sturdy construction and comprehensive articulation.
The point to 76115 Spider Mech vs. Venom seems to have been lost during the design process, as it neither embraces the silly side of Spider-Man and his collection of unusual and unnecessary vehicles, nor channels a more mature style for the villain included. It's a set that includes and is based around some of the most popular characters in the Spider-Man universe (Spider-Gwen's debut in brick form is long awaited), with some of the most well-established and strongest identities. That the set fails in working out its own identity is a big disappointment.
