Avengers Compound Battle

Each of these sets has a lot of great details that fans of the new movie will really appreciate. Whether you're building these to keep out on display or you want to play out the action from the movie, there's going to be something here to please you. Avengers Compound Battle (76131) is a good set, but not an amazing one, at least from an adult's perspective. I think kids will enjoy this set a whole lot more. The real selling point for me is the great character selection. However, the set is expensive for what you get. more less

I've been hoping for an Avengers Compound build since Age of Ultron's ending, and this almost lives up to all that hype. The minifigures are the best in any Avengers Endgame set, particularly Iron Man and Thanos. Nebula has the same quantum realm suit from many of the other sets but one minifigure doesn't cause the overall set to drag much. The build is pretty good overall, but I wish there was more to it. The conference room area is fun but a few more seats would have been nice, cramming all the original Avengers in there is a bit difficult. the area below it is a bit lackluster too, but decent for what it is. The garage is good though, since with the vehicles out it can function as a training room. Speaking of the vehicles, I wish they weren't there, since they didn't appear in the movie, and that instead more had been put into the compound itself for what will likely be it's only appearance. I also don't really like the fact that it's $100 for 700 pieces. It should either be ~$70 or (preferably) have ~300 more pieces to it. more less

I feel like this set is not that great. It's very very skewed towards a young demographic and is not great for teens, adults, or even slightly older kids. The minifigure selection is strong but I do not like the builds. The two vehicles are pretty superfluous and are a waste of parts, and the compound itself lacks so much depth that you can't really play with it. There's just so little to do in the main compound itself – the garage works well but the actual compound building itself has very little playability. It's literally just a computer, a detachable wall (which is more for playing outside the building than inside), and a cramped conference table that can fit 3-4 people max. more less
