He loves to watch the episodes of Monkie Kid on YouTube and collecting the sets and reenacting the action with the sets.
As the smallest of the new Monkie Kid sets, go into this build with lower expectations. I have seen better motorcycle builds in other themes for the same price or lower. However, the Minifigures included are nice.
Overall, the Monkie Kid's Cloud Bike (80018) is a decent set for being the smallest set in the Spring 2021 wave. Spindrax is exclusive to this set I do like the look of him especially his helmet. Rui and the mechanical spider seems to be a throw-in since they don't really fit in the overall concept of the set but that's okay.
80018 Monkie Kid's Cloud Bike doesn't distinguish itself as a build, but can be fun enough for younger fans with its roughly equally-matched opponents and launchers. The main attraction, however, is the relatively large selection of new pieces in the cheapest set of this wave; also the cheapest way to get some of those new bar holders in a set.
It may be the smallest of all Monkie Kid sets beyond the Minifigure Accessory Pack, but it offers a decent slip of the Monkie Kid action. The unique enemy character is certainly a bonus but it's a shame MK and Rui don't offer something a little more unique. I like the two different style bikes, especially the Spindrax's and it just looks cool. MK's offers something different and has more play elements compared to the other bike. It may not be the most exciting of the Monkie Kid sets but it offers a fun build and a set with plenty of playability.
Despite looking very nice, and my enthusiasm for it, there's nothing really exceptional here, no ‘one' thing ignites my enthusiasm in particular, but there's nothing to complain about either. All the builds in the set are solid and well put together with a few nice touches here and there. The character selection seems pretty good too.
