I fully recommend this set for any LEGO Star Wars fan. The minifigs are great and the pieces are very good for MOCing. The cannon isn't bad either, but, as you probably know, the minifigs are the star feature of this set.
My son loves lego Star Wars and this is a great addition. He enjoys all the accessories.
I really like how the battle packs are assembled having minifigures from both factions. That way you are able to create armies and have battles with what you have. These sets are also great for building MOC's. Again the only complaint from me is the short barrel on the cannon. I would recommend getting these battle just for the Clone Troopers as they are the best I've seen ever.
I think the set is pretty lacking, in fact, I really prefer the speeder bike from last year's set, but the cannon isn't totally awful.
You can go sell the clones, but with only 2 clones and 2 droids, this has less value. And that's really the story of this set… like I should like it, but it feels kinda cheap, especially next to the Endor Battle Pack or even the Skittles and Mandos from last year. Certainly the weakest of the current lineup.
I am really happy with this set even if it has meant a UK price hike. The minifigs are just fantastic with the Elite clone being one of the best ever produced in my humble opinion. The parts selection is also very good and means a few sets together will be much better than the limited part of the last BP's. I doubt I nead to tell many of you reading this that you nead this set but you do. A great set!
