Went together fast for an almost 5 year old. Theres plenty to do with it once assembled. Includes 2 figures, 2 vehicles, and a rooftop battle scene.
PROS: Another fantastic and simple build for younger super hero fans. My Nephew adores this set since it has both Elastigirl and a helicopter. CONS: WAY EXPENSIVE... at $.21per part this is the priciest ratio set of the year.
This set is meant to be at the top of a building. It's a clever representation of it, especially with the helipad, billboard tower and exhaust fan. How the motorbike gets up there is anyone's guess (I suppose the movie will let us know), and the helicopter is great for a Juniors set – easy to build, with a little bit of SNOT work thrown in for good measure. Mr 5 didn't understand the top of the building concept, but it was still fun nonetheless. Through the eyes of an adult, I would have added a little more snot work to the edges of the building, to give the impression that we were on a roof, but the little details are there. It just means that for some, there might need to be a bit of an explanation about the setting.
Overall, the LEGO Juniors The Incredibles 2 Elastigirl's Rooftop Pursuit (10759) is actually a pretty neat set. Both Elastigirl and Screenslaver are exclusive to this set however Elastigirl also appears in another set without the stretched arms. The builds themselves are pretty simple and not that spectacular kids may enjoy the helicopter. My favorite part of the whole build is the roof area with the printed billboard.
The smallest of the new Incredibles sets may not be as exciting has the other two sets but still has its good points. It's easy to build thanks to the ‘quick-start' elements which include the rooftop base and body of the helicopter. There are a couple of printed elements including a billboard featuring Mrs. Incredible and the ‘hypno-disc' which sits atop the helicopter. As previously mentioned the draw for many will be the minifigures. The set includes two – Elastigirl and the bad guy Screenslaver. Elastigirl has the unique ‘stretchy' arms which were first used on Ms. Marvel. This is a single elements which long through the standard arm holes on the torso. It's certainly a great way to capture the character's super power, but doesn't make posing the minifigure very tricky.
All in all, this set is ok – many will pick this up solely for Screenslaver – but Elastigirl is mediocre in my opinion and the builds are boring.
