Cute and fun. As with all the Minecraft LEGO kits there is not enough there there. They are sparse and usually more about the name than the fabrication.

This was a fun build for my eight-year old. We were happy that there were so many pieces that give good value (about 10 cents a piece). My son was happy to get Alex, two mooshrooms and a creeper. He says the baby mushroom is his favorite. Interestingly, upon completing the build our son was so proud - he was carrying it to the Lego table downstairs and he dropped it. Luckily it stayed together with only minor repairs required! In my opinion, this would be a great option for a friend's birthday gift.

It's an underwhelming set but I do appreciate LEGO trying to cover all the different biomes the game has because the Mushroom Island is a very rare biome that I didn't expect to become a set.

This model has a huge amount of detail for such a small set (bar the third island). The mushrooms look amazing and the variety of figures is excellent. These will probably be the biggest draw of the set for collectors. It's a fantastic set to add to any Minecraft display, either as a whole, or seperated. The play features aren't anything new, but there are quite a few crammed in.
