As another reviewer mentioned, the completed car does fall apart easily. However we used to own the full size car(which was also assembled from a kit imported from England). So this was a great trip down memory lane and a great project for grandpa and grandson. But--for display only.

Is this model for everyone? No – you have to appreciate the car, to appreciate the build and model itself. That said, I am sure that there will be those AFOLs who are not car buffs who would want to add this super model to their collection thanks to the enjoyable build and attractive finished display piece.

I really enjoyed building this set, learned new building techniques and got my hands on some new bricks. For me it's not quite a 10 out of 10 because I think the nose cone and the dashboard could have been better, in both you can see an opening between it and the hood, and they are a little loose. That aside though, 21307 is amazing work by both Carl and LEGO – thank you to both for bringing us such an superb set!

An iconic sports car and LEGO bricks in one, what else could a guy want? This is a fantastic model, from the detail too the colour this set has it all. Printed parts at last, this just adds to the quality of this set. I have all the creator and expert automobile models and this is just a perfect addition. Thank you LEGO ideas, keep them coming.

If you enjoy cars and motoring history, I would highly recommend picking this set up but if you gravitate more to playsets or minifigure-themed sets, your money would be best spent elsewhere. The Caterham Seven 620R is one of LEGO's finest sets this year, and yet another testament to the strength and versatility of the Ideas platform.

This LEGO set is going to be a lot of fun for LEGO builders who are also car enthusiasts. The LEGO version of the Caterham Seven really captures the look of the sleek racecar through lots of fun details that make it great for play and display. Fans will like uncovering all the hidden details, such as the engine interior, when they lift off the different components of the car. These just enhance the realistic look of the vehicle and make the LEGO Caterham Seven that much more special and collectible for collectors.

Recommendation: no 4 / 5 by Allen "Tormentalous" Tran

The design of the Caterham is spot-on and I don't really have any complaints about it. I do like the whole studless form factor and the actual size of the finished build. It is comparable to the size of some of the LEGO Creator sets like the Ferrari F40 (10248) and Volkswagen Beetle (10252). It makes a great display piece although that doesn't have to be said. If you're looking at it from afar, you might even mistake it for a diecast or a model kit.

I love the fact that this entire set contain nil stickers and the unique details are all printed. The engine details is equally outstanding. I do wish the front nose cone could be improved further, but I probably have to fix this on my own. All in all, I am quite pleased with this overall built, amidst of some disappointments.

Several of us here at The Brothers Brick have built this set since its release a couple weeks ago, and we all love it. Our resident parts monkeys love all the new pieces for a great overall value. For me, this is the kind of set I'd keep together and display at work alongside my other LEGO cars. (It's also the sort of set I'd get a second copy of for the parts, because LEGO parts monkeys are usually right.)

The attention to detail on this model was great. So many interesting bits. I have to say that I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the Beetle, but I'm not really a British racing enthusiast. The finished models is quite handsome and I'm happy to display it on a shelf and show it off.

Now that I've finally built the set, I'm impressed with some of the solutions used to solve small areas that were slightly stressing connections....such as the 2x2 round plate at the front underside of the bonnet stripes, that just sits on tiles. I'm also really happy that they kept the foot pedals in the model!

I am really impressed with this set though. It is an excellent representation of the real car, with the general shape and feel accurately captured, and it is furthermore absolutely dripping with lovingly recreated details such as the contents of the engine bay, the exhaust system and the interior of the cockpit, not to mention the use of a large number of new printed elements rather than stickers.

This is an awesome set. The build is always interesting, with plenty of surprises and almost no repetitiveness (even specular subassemblies often have slight differences), the complete model is a gorgeous, super detailed display piece that will look fantastic together with the other recent cars like the F40, the Beetle, the Mini etc. Even the part selection is great! The only small problems are the issue on the dashboard and a general difficulty in picking up the car with your hands: there's not an obvious place to put your finger. The hood would detach, the exhausts are not attached firmly enought, etc. But these are really minor annoiance that doesn't detract from the model. If you like lego cars, don't miss this set.
