All three of my boys LOVE these (so do all their friends)! I didn't have to help put it together-which makes me happy! My son says he loves the different weapons they each come with. Each one comes with extra parts which my boys love in case they lose one or they want to use a piece on another character. They are legos so they love to take them apart and put them together in a different way. I like that the pieces don't break into pieces as easily as tradional Legos so when my boys want to take them somewhere I am more likely to say yes because I'm not afraid of them losing pieces like I am with the others. The pieces are also much bigger and easier to see which helps when picking them up and baby proofing...not to mention-have you ever stepped bare foot on a Lego piece???
Surge benefits greatly from the jump to the Deluxe class. Despite using not all that much blue (just like Breez in the winter wave), he still looks clearly like Surge, and he comes with a fair share of very cool parts. But still, Surge's design didn't amazed me as much as Stormer's mostly because of the minor design flaws he's plagued with. Because of that, Surge is only second to Stormer, but let me tell you, it's a very close second, and he's still a very fantastic set.
