So your kid loves Lego and Minecraft. How can you possibly combine these two brands into a singular activity? Boom. My 6 year-old built this himself and only consulted me for one tricky bit. Had a blast building it as he always does with Lego and loved playing with it afterward as well. I must admit it bums me out that the Minecraft sets are so simple looking compared to other Lego sets we build together, but that's the Minecraft aesthetic and, let's face it, these brands were absolutely built for each other.

This set brings the digital world of The Nether to life by recreating elements and objects found in the game. Like Minecraft, LEGO is all about building whatever you want, so you can follow the instructions for this fortress or build it how ever you want, including recreating a fortress from your own game.

Pick this up if you are a Minecraft LEGO fan or if you are a LEGO collector who loves dark red bricks. Otherwise, this set is probably not for you.

So when I was looking at legos I found this set. I thought it was WAY TOO MUCH but bought it anyway to play with. I assembeled the set and played with it A LOT!!! By then I already knew I was playing with it EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! It's been 2 years and I don't play with it anymore but I might start playing with it again...

Decent set with a lot of dark red bricks but a little overpriced for 571 pieces. If you can get it at a discounted price in the future, it's worth picking up.

I am quite pleased with this set overall, more so than I had anticipated in fact. The minifigure selection is outstanding and there are plenty of new elements included, although the price seems high considering the size of the set.
